While it seems I’m in dire straits, it’s not that bad.
In finances, they teach you about cashflows, and while I got a lot of credit, I don’t have to pay ‘em for now, and when I do, it’s in monthly installments. The only one I’ll stress about is a tuition payment I messed up, the quite stressing sum of $2114.16. I have the free cash on hand to pay it, and I honestly should before it bites me in the ass, but then that will mean I’ll have to get a menial job again. It’s only fair, but job searches are annoying. Ugh.
Apart from those stresses, I don’t pay much expenses. My spending is very frugal, and because I’m cutting, I’m not eating much. I don’t pay for rent or utilties, so I’m spoiled as far as I’m concerned.
Enough dilly-dallying.
The proper financial goal is to get into web development. I’m at the “cusp”, I need a portfolio, improve my design a bit, create a few examples, and I’m golden to start building experience. I’ve found a few local websites I can improve on for free to add that to my record, and I’ll start working on a job.
It’s complicated by my passion project, which I’ve convinced myself I have time to work on and make successful enough that I can just not get a job at all. Live a lie until I succeed.
I might get lucky and succeed, or I find a job. Either way it’s a lot of work.
I want to finish the bulk of the passion project’s work first before I go to build a portfolio. It can take a month if I’m diligent, much more if I’m not.
RECORD
I’ll make this a seperate data file later where I can just jot all the data on a backend app and it fills it up, but I’m too lazy.
